Pink House

I originally drew this house simply because I had long admired its pink stucco façade. I had no personal connection to it. I had the best intention to inform the owners of my drawing, but before I’d delivered a postcard to their house it was up for auction. It seemed a likely possibility that it would be bought by someone unappreciative of its beauty and would be immediately knocked down.

By some divine intervention, it was bought by six parties all within the Nobel family. Peter Nobel framed my first house drawing, my sister went to school with his daughter Gaia (who has taught at West End State School), and my dad helped build their chicken coop when we were kids. West End is SMALL, as illustrated by this story.
